ODMMUN 2026: Creating a Platform for Youth Diplomacy
ODMMUN is one of the flagship co-academic initiatives of ODM Educational Group (ODMEG), and this year’s edition, ODMMUN 2026, brought together student delegates from across ODMEG schools for a two-day platform built around youth diplomacy and global engagement.
The inaugural ceremony opened with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising the pursuit of knowledge, followed by a welcome address from Shubhodeep Ghosh, Secretary General of ODMMUN 2026, who introduced the Executive Board members and MUN Coordinators to the gathering.
We were honoured to have Ambassador Dr Deepak Vohra deliver the keynote address as Chief Guest, urging students to build leadership qualities, global awareness, and diplomatic acumen — skills he described as essential for navigating an increasingly interconnected world.
Dr Sherry Wibben, a Global Educator from the United States, added an international perspective, speaking on global citizenship and the value of collaboration among young learners.
From there, delegates moved into committee sessions, where the real work of MUN — communication, critical thinking, and leadership through simulated diplomatic negotiation — actually takes place.
